韓國貿(mào)易、工業(yè)和能源部（MOTIE）在一份聲明中稱，在此期間，用于包裝材料和家用電器的合成樹脂以及用于醫(yī)療產(chǎn)品的合成橡膠的需求增加。

MOTIE稱石油化工產(chǎn)品的出口創(chuàng)下了有記錄以來的最高出口值。

在經(jīng)歷了連續(xù)26個月的經(jīng)濟萎縮之后，自2021年1月以來，經(jīng)濟增長速度一直在加快。

3月石油產(chǎn)品出貨量增長18.3%，結束了27個月的下滑，盡管成交量有所下降，但仍達到27億美元。

MOTIE的數(shù)據(jù)顯示，3月份整體出口同比增長16.6%，至538億美元，已連續(xù)第五個月增長。進口總額則增長18.8%，至497億美元。

報告補充道：“按地區(qū)劃分，美國、歐盟、東盟、中南美洲、印度和獨立國家聯(lián)合體（CIS）的出境運輸量上升，而日本和中東的出境運輸量下降。”

South Korea March petrochemical exports jump 48.5% to record high

South Korea’s petrochemical exports in March jumped by 48.5% year on year to a record high of $4.8bn on the back of a rebound in global oil prices, official data showed on Thursday.

Demand for synthetic resins used in packaging materials and home appliances, as well synthetic rubber used in medical products increased during the period, the country’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) said in a statement.

“Exports of petrochemicals recorded the highest export value on record,” it said.

The pace of growth has been accelerating since January 2021, after suffering 26 consecutive months of contraction.

March shipments of petroleum products posted an 18.3% growth in value, snapping 27 months of declines, to $2.7bn despite a decline in volume.

Overall exports in March grew 16.6% year on year to $53.8bn, rising for the fifth consecutive month, while total imports posted a higher increase of 18.8% to $49.7bn, according to MOTIE.

“By region, outbound shipments tothe US, the EU, ASEAN, Central and South America, India, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) went up, while those to Japan and the Middle East moved down,” it added.

In 2020, overall exports were hit by slumping global demand amid the coronavirus pandemic.
